Amit Gupta wants to organize a Barcamp NYC. Count me in Amit! I'd be happy to help organize and help get the word out. Anyone else in the New York area want to get in on the action?
Update: The wiki site for the event can be found here.

I'm down. for sure. I just sent him an email to see how I can help out. Nothing fun every happens on the east coast and I'm tired of it!

Me too! I'm tired of those west coast hackers having all the fun. It should be easy to get an interesting group of hackers together in NYC!

I'm in SF, CA right now... it is pretty fun out here. ;)
But I'd be up for a DC to NYC trip with a bit notice. The train is an easy trip.

Sounds good Keith! I'd be happy to put you up in my apartment for the weekend if you don't want to spring for a hotel. I'm lacking a guest bedroom, but the pullout couch isn't too bad.
