My First Mention

I debated saying anything about this since it will make me look like a total n00b, but here it is anyway.  Last night I got my first mention by another blogger!  Ian Landsman mentioned me in this short post.  Thanks Ian!  I've followed your blog for a little while now and I hope everything is going smooth with your upcomming release of HelpSpot.

What was that line from Swimming With Sharks?  "You've gotta give action to get action."  The whole blogging community seems very reciprocal.  The thing I love is that it never seems forced to me.  It doesn't seem cheapened by some salesman's slick presentation.  Just my $0.02.

Hey no problem. Yep, the more you give the link love the more you'll get. Plus throw in some insightful commentary and you're golden.

I think you're making the right decision blogging early and often about your product. It's worked very well for me. I have a pretty big mailing list at this point, plus blog readers, plus a fair amount of links out there about HelpSpot. It's a pretty good environment to launch in considering I've spent 0 on advertising.

I actually found your blog via this meetup note
http://www.bigblogcompany.net/wiki/index.php/Current_events

I'm going to head down there if I can. I'm not sure though if I'll be able to get away so I haven't listed myself.

The meetup should be interesting. I don't make it to any conferences and I haven't joined any user groups in NYC yet so I haven't met any new nerds in person in a little while. Hopefully you can make it!
